Getting started

What Field 2 Service is Field 2 Service is software for trades and field-service companies. The office uses it to schedule work, send the right person, and get paid. You, as a customer, never sign in to that office system.

Quotes and invoices

Quotes sent to you A quote is a priced proposal from the company. It lists the work, quantities, prices, and a total. It is not a bill — you have not been charged until an invoice is issued.
Invoices sent to you An invoice is the bill for work (or a deposit on that work). It shows line items, any discount, VAT where it applies, the total, how much is paid, and the balance due.
Paying a deposit Some companies ask for a deposit before they schedule or start work. A deposit is money paid toward that job. It is not the final invoice unless the company later treats it that way.

Portal and booking

Using the customer portal The customer portal is a signed-in space with the company that invited you. You only ever see your own quotes, invoices, appointments, and messages.
Booking a visit Some companies let you request or book a visit yourself.
Leaving a review After a job, the company may send a review request by email or text. The link is one-shot and only for that visit.
